Buffalo's amazing collection of 19th and 20th Century architecture was featured on the cover of the Nov. 16, 2008 edition of the New York Times Arts & Leisure section in an article aptly titled "Saving Buffalo's Untold Beauty". The article dominated the front page of the Arts & Leisure section with a breathtaking photo of Daniel Burnham's Ellicott Square Building as seen from Louis Sullivan's Guaranty Building. The subhead makes the case for Buffalo right up front: "The Home to Some of the Greatest American Architecture Tries to Balance the Past With the Future." BUFFALO EVENTS

Throughout the month of December the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra offers a wide range of concerts at their breathtaking home at Kleinhans Music Hall, including a sampling of favorites from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras as part of “A Classical Christmas” as well as the beloved Christmas standards that make up their “Holiday Pops” concert series. The BPO will also perform Handel’s “Messiah” at Our Lady of Victory Basilica and accompany BalletMet at Shea’s Performing Arts Center for two performances of “The Nutcracker.” more info >
